Another 'Eclipse' Review - Doing Just Enough To Encourage Fans, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Delivers

The Bottom Line: The next installment in “The Twilight Saga,” “Eclipse” progresses the stories and relationships from the earlier films and is entertaining for viewers from teenagers up.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Series’ become tougher and tougher for non-fans the longer the series persists. Those who are not embedded in a phenomenon tend to be looking for something that builds on the prior installments while still giving viewers something that feels new, if not entirely familiar. So, for example, with “Twilight” (reviewed at: http://www.epinions.com/content_451430813316 ) the pressure on filmmakers was to please fans and get an audience who had not read any of the books intrigued in the story and characters. With “New Moon” (reviewed at: http://www.epinions.com/content_492450057860 ) the pressure was to retain the audience and not simply repeat the teen melodrama aspects and allow the audience to feel like the story was actually going somewhere. They largely succeeded. With “Eclipse,” the third installment in the “Twilight Saga,” the stakes are raised, especially for those who are not already glued to the series.

For that audience, the fear has to be that “Eclipse” will simply be a repetition of the two prior installments and will be more teen melodrama than anything else. After all, in “The Twilight Saga,” there is a romance to vampires and werewolves and much of Kristen Stewart’s acting involves alternately looking moon-eyed and falling down. With “Eclipse,” the formula is broken and the film fearlessly illustrates what it only implied in “New Moon,” that most vampires are actually angry and quite evil. While “New Moon” had the carnage off-screen, “Eclipse” illustrates it and the conflict becomes more than just a teenage “I love him,” “no, I love the other guy,” “no, I love the first guy more” story. And it is bound to be well-received by the fans. It was well-received by this non-fan.

Bella Swan and Edward Cullen have made it to Senior year of high school and as their relationship is deepening, Bella is applying to colleges and Edward decides to go through the motions of going to college to be with her and applies as well. But in nearby Seattle, Washington, there have been killings which Jacob knows are the work of vampires. Bella, despite Edward’s dislike of Jacob, continues to visit Jacob and with Jacob’s werewolf clan moves to deal with the vampires, Jacob becomes more protective of his best friend. When Edward and the Cullens are given proof that the problems in Seattle are the works of vampires, Alice sees the menace coming to Forks and the Cullens are forced to flee.

With an army of vampires descending upon Forks, Bella, Edward and Jacob flee in order to protect Bella as she appears to be the target of the rage of the vampires. With the attack imminent, the Cullen family joins forces with the werewolves in order to prevent the slaughter of humans and the exposure of both supernatural communities.

The nicest thing about “Eclipse” is that while the characters seem largely the same in the film, the plot has an almost constant sense of movement and the film feels like it is going somewhere. And where it goes is worth the wait. The key to who is behind the army of vampires and why makes perfect sense and the emotional resonance carries back to the final scene of “Twilight,” which works for those who have seen the prior installments. For those who have not seen “Twilight,” the motivations for Victoria are repeated enough so that she seems like a reasonable villain. Newbie viewers are more likely to be lost by the appearance of Jane and the Volturi than Victoria and her arc.

On the subject of Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard steps into the role beautifully and while fans might miss Rachel Lefevre, Howard does a good job of playing Victoria as both harsh and wounded. In fact, I didn’t even notice the recasting until the credits, that is how flawlessly Howard assumes the looks and mannerisms of Victoria as characterized by Lefevre.

On the character front, “Eclipse” does a decent job of progressing Bella, Edward and Jacob, though it narrowly misses recreating the sense of watching the same ridiculous love triangle in the prior film. The movie works in this regard because it leaves the characters with a much more firm sense of who each of the principles are and what direction they are headed in. Bella manages to swoon more for Edward and the resulting decisions she makes feel much more organic than simply having to choose between the two lead hunks. The result is that “Eclipse” will probably replay better than “New Moon” for those who are not looking at the series for the teenage romance aspect.

As far as performances go, Ashley Greene continues to steal her scenes as Alice Cullen, the vampire who is able to see the future (except when it is most useful). Fortunately, her vision is explained and explored more in this movie, as is Jasper’s twitchiness. Jackson Rathbone has played Jasper as twitchy and dark and in “Eclipse” he is given the chance to steal a scene or two for more than just chill factor. He portrays Jasper in a more adult fashion and when Jasper begins to take a leadership role in the planning of the combat, it is Rathbone’s performance which sells it.

The leading men do what they have done before, so there are no surprises from Robert Pattinson (Edward), Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Billy Burke (Charlie, Bella’s father) or Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen). Facinelli deserves a special note in that his role as the Cullen patriarch is given more importance in “Eclipse” and Facinelli makes good use of the screentime. His trick is to both provide a level of consistency and to make quiet scenes where Carlisle provides deeply human wisdom seem inhuman and Facinelli nails it.

Kristen Stewart continues to do a decent job of balancing Bella’s role as damsel in distress and normal teenage girl. In “Eclipse,” the role is a bit more physical for her and she seems up to the task. Waifish girls everywhere have a new role model in Stewart’s Swan and she plays off Pattinson well, so at the very least the film portrays a very real sense of sexual chemistry.

Finally, while “New Moon” had some morph effects which were not ideal (notably with werewolf transformations), “Eclipse” has the kinks worked out. The special effects are amazing and adult audiences are likely only to be disappointed in that they do not go far enough. The climactic battle has startlingly little blood for a conflict of its magnitude and those looking at this for an adult sense of realism are likely to be a little let down.

But those looking for something new to swoon about in Forks, Washington, where vampires and werewolves are real and they are all interested in teenagers, “Eclipse” is something to rave about.

Rob & Kristen Confirm They're Dating—to Oprah!

Oh Robsten, don't you know we have eyes everywhere?
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, and Taylor Lautner all taped an episode for The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week, to air May 13.
While some fans were treated to a special screening of Eclipse, the good stuff happened with the cameras weren't rolling.
Like when Rob and Kristen confirmed to Oprah backstage they are in fact dating:
"We were all briefed before the show how to handle the talent," says our source who works for the Big O. "Part of what we were told was that Rob and Kristen are dating."
Come again?
So here's how it went down:
Apparently, before Robsten and the gang went to tape the segment, they went over with Oprah what she was going to ask. O said she had to "go there" and gave Rob and Kristen the heads-up she was going to ask the big dating question.
Robsten and their people obviously said they wouldn't straight-up answer, no surprise there, so Rob, Kristen and Oprah came to a little agreement.
When asked, Rob and Kristen could totally give the coy nonanswer answer (Rob joked Kristen was pregnant, Kristen joked Rob was having the baby), and O wouldn't press it too hard on air.
On one condition—she wanted to know what was really happening.
Dishes our Oprah spy:
"Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn't be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen's people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent."
At least O knows how to get it out of them somehow! And really, are you going to lie to Oprah? No way!
So that's the little agreement our fave couple settled on. They could get away with the deflected joking answer, but Oprah (and her crew) needed to know what was really up with them.
As for how the Twilight couple interacted behind the scenes? Let's just say it certainly wasn't as tense as it was in Vancouver!
"They weren't superaffectionate or anything," says our source, who was with Rob, Kristen and the cast the entire time they were at the show.
"Kristen seemed a little awkward and nervous, but Rob didn't at all. He was really friendly and was cracking jokes the entire time."
So is the confirmation to Oprah enough for you Nonsten's that Rob and Kristen (who arrived back in L.A. together this week, too) are still happily together? Of course not, didn't think so.

I HAD no idea what to expect from Remember Me.

I thought maybe a dark version of a Nicholas Sparks type story.

And in that respect, I suppose, I was close - but it was nothing at all like what I expected as this is a film that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

Tyler (Robert Pattinson) is a bit of a rebel, still coping with his older brother's suicide several years earlier, he has a tense relationship with his dad (a rather snotty Pierce Brosnan), and a very close relationship with his little sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins).

When Tyler and his best friend and roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) try to break up a fight, they end up getting arrested and Tyler gets beaten up by one of the policemen.

Later Aidan sets up Tyler with the policeman's daughter Ally (Emilie de Ravin) in order to get back at the copper who attacked him.

But Ally is struggling with a tragedy as well, and the two become drawn to each other in a series of really endearing moments.

The ending - which I won't even hint at - came as a complete surprise to me.

I was sat watching the film, and enjoying it nonetheless, when I found myself thinking, how can this end?

And then it did - and I was utterly shocked, and saddened.

You really have to watch the film to see what I mean, but it will be both sad and uplifting at the same time.

Naperville families welcome 'Twilight' vampire

You're not supposed to invite a vampire into your house, but when Robert Pattinson of "Twilight" fame rang the doorbell of the Webster family's Naperville home Tuesday, all decorum -- let alone rules -- went out the window.
Pattinson's appearance was part of a taped stunt set up by producers of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The actor made surprise visits to three Naperville homes that evening.
"Twilight" cast members from the movie franchise about teen vampires were in town to tape an episode set to air May 13. The Websters were one of the families who had requested tickets to attend the taping. Little did they know they would get a whole lot more.
Jeanne Webster and her daughter Colleen, a sophomore at Naperville Central High School, had been contacted by producers and told that no more tickets were available. Instead, the producers asked if they could set up a video phone in the Websters' home Tuesday night so Winfrey could talk to them remotely during taping the next morning. The Websters agreed and settled in for what they thought would be a dull night of technical setup.
"At 9 p.m. the doorbell rings and we saw this huge light and we were just screaming," said Jeanne. "We thought it was Oprah at the door. My daughter Colleen opened the door and it was Rob Pattinson at the door to wish her a sweet 16th birthday."
Another Naperville family, the McAlpines, also fell victim to what would become a welcome prank.
Lisa McAlpine's 13-year-old daughter Meggan had invited three friends over to watch the video-phone setup. They met a movie star instead.
"The poor man -- they practically tackled him," said Lisa. "I don't think he'll have his hearing back for awhile."
"I was in a state of shock at first," said Meggan. "I always think if I ever meet these people this is what I'm going to say to them, but all I could do was scream."
At the Websters' home, Pattinson stuck around for about 15 to 20 minutes.
"I had my glasses on and had taken out my contacts and had no makeup on," said Jeanne. "I couldn't believe it. He was really funny and answered all of (Colleen's) questions. He was a real laid-back type of guy."
Pattinson also handed out Oprah tickets, so Jeanne, Colleen and 17-year-old daughter Shannon attended the Wednesday taping, where they also got to see stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.
"It's been a crazy couple of days," said Colleen. "I can't believe it. The first thing that went through my mind was, 'This cannot be happening to me.' I was completely speechless for the first time in my life."

Eclipse Screening Report, Spoilers!

This was posted on Rob's IMDb page. The person says that her friend attended the Oprah Eclipse screening and share details about the movie.
True? False? I can't say. Just keep in mind that they watched a rough cut and this is one person's point of view.

My friend was able to attend the Oprah Eclipse screening and this is her experience!!!!! "They tell us that the movie is not complete so be warned that it is rough but they wanted us to be able to see what they have. It starts and there is no sound. And I think boy, they weren't kidding when they said it was rough! But they rewind the movie and start it again. Ha! The music wasn't complete so we don't know what will be on the soundtrack. That will be a good thing for us once it's added and we can watch it with everyone else on June 30. There was a scene when a wolf was animated and there was some scenes with subtitles, too. Also there was some really shaky camera scenes and lighting issues but for the most part it was done.

So I was very surprised that the balance between the Edward and Bella moments and the action was well done. They had ALL the MAJOR Edward and Bella moments but sadly not all the moments we loved from the books but at least they had the MAJOR ones. And of course those scenes were rushed and didn't have exact dialogue like fans would like. BUT I was pleasantly surprised and can be happy with it. So some may say they got it all perfect and others may say they are very upset things were left out! They DID have the leg hitch scene! Oh it was good, hot and SEXY! Their conversation wasn't really the way I remembered it and he doesn't crumble the part of the wrought iron bed to demonstrate how strong he is. They had a LOT of good kissing in the movie which was really lacking in New Moon. Edward was cute and smiling except when Bella was snapping at him or breaking off the kiss for some reason.

Charlie is absolutely perfect! He just nails it everytime and has such spectacular comic relief! Love him! The scene with him and Bella discussing her virginity was AWESOMELY awkward! It could not have been more perfect. And the wolfpack meeting at the bonfire was very well done. Not too long and just enough information given. I like the Jasper backstory. I felt that was done really well and there are a couple of great Alice and Jasper moments! The Rosalie backstory was ALMOST perfect. The Alice kidnapping Bella scenes were left out and that's when Rosalie tells Bella her story. The big problem is they also took out the part where Rosalie tells Bella about going to see her friend Vera and wanting a child like Vera's new baby boy. She fell in love with the child and dreamed of being a mother someday. It's the main reason why she was so upset she was changed into a vampire and

and that is why she's upset with Bella for choosing to give that up. This is a crucial to undersstanding her actions in BD with Renesmee. It just seems like these movies are way more pro Jacob than Edward. They don't seem to understand Jacob winds up with Edward and Bella's daughter so they shouldn't make him seem so much like a hero. SO the biggest thing that is wrong and unacceptable is that Alice never kidnaps Bella when Edward goes hunting. You never get the feeling Bella has to be kept safe from whatever is happening in Seattle. So all of a sudden Jacob is at school talking to Edward about the treaty being broken by Emmett and Jasper and then Bella is mad at Edward for not keeping her clued in. The next thing you know she's on the back of Jacob's motorcycle speeding away from Edward like na na na na na! It makes me so mad! Bella was a brat in the book sometimes but never like that! So it was in your face to Edward! I HATE that part and it was the worst part.

It definitely was not that way in the book! Then there is the tent scene and for the most part it was really good. They left out the "space heater" comment which seemed way wrong to me because they should use all those cute classic lines the fan loved from the books. The dialogue with Edward and Jacob is good but the scene ends abruptly without the standoff between them! I love that part of the book and I'm sad it wasn't in the movie. The part where Jacob and Bella kiss was very upsetting but the really bad part is when Bella goes back to Edward afterwards. The whole conversation is just all wrong! Bella never sheds a tear and she never seems sad by her behavior...that's all wrong!! It's like ooops it just happened. Blech! The hair in this movie is SUPER bad! Everyone just looks so fake that it is comical and very distracting! I burst out laughing once when Peter was on the screen! His hair and makeup were just so poorly done! Edward was the only one that looks good!

Riley is a main character in the movie and definitely has more scenes than the Cullens. But I think they do that to establish him and create tension. I also thought the newborns seemed like zombies at times but it worked for the most part. The action stuff was really cool. I think there needs to be more editing at times because I can see the newborns flying away from the wolves before they even touch them! They need to touch up things like that but it was still really cool. The way they rip up the vampires is also really cool. I really dislike Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria...she's BAD! Like super horrible acting! The faces she makes is amusing and not scary at all! I can't stand her at all so I was glad she wasn't in the movie that much. There was a kissing scene between her and Riley that made me want to puke. I guess it had to be there to show her fake/planned relationship with him.

So that may seem like a lot of negative stuff but really the Edward and Bella scenes are so good but just too short as usual. The scene when Edward reads Jacob's mind and learns he tried to kiss Bella and she punches him...it is so so so schmexy!!!!! I have always loved angry Edward! No nose pinching but good car screeching and anger! I cried two times at sweet at just how sweet Edward is to Bella. I just love that stuff and that's why I love the books! So all in all I think when this movie is completed it will be the best one so far. When it's completed and the music is added it will even be better. I'm so glad I saw it!" So after hearing her account I feel a lot better about some things and still worried about others. I will reserve my final opinion once I see the movie. Thought I would share her story with all of you and I hope you enjoyed it!

Usually they make movies out of comic book heroes. Now they make comic books out of movie actors.

Bluewater Comics' latest edition in its FAME line is the biography of Robert Pattinson, best known for his portrayal of the vegetarian, mind-reading vampire, Edward Cullen (cue the screaming), in the 'Twilight' film saga.

Pattinson joins other famous names on the comic book shelves, from The Beatles to Michael Jackson -- even Stephenie Meyer herself.

Readers will see comic book RPattz from his childhood in London, to his early movie roles in forgotten films, to his jump to fame with a role in 'Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire' right up through his more current work in 'Remember Me.'

The book is filled with Pattinson's own words, such as, "It's one of my favorite books and one of my favorite scripts as well. It's going to be a really, really good movie," referring to his most recently wrapped film, 'Bel Ami.'

The comic bio, written by Kimberly Sherman and illustrated by Nathaniel Ooten, hits the shelves at the end of May -- a strategic release date since the highly-anticipated 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' opens on Jun. 30.

Kristen Stewart will have her own comic-bio on the shelves in June. In the meantime, bad news for Team Jacob: No word yet on a Taylor Lautner edition.

I hope you’re having a lovely week. Right now I have two adorable dogs sound asleep while I type away on my computer. Anyway, I want to ask a Robsten question. Now we all know they’re together, they’re not going to say anything because they don’t have to. I do have to ask, do you think the other reason why they don’t just admit it is because if they do decide to break up, it’s an easy break? I mean they don’t have to confirm a breakup if they don’t confirm a relationship, makes it much easier (maybe more celebs should take notice).

Muse's song for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack revealed

Just released is new information regarding the official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's first single . . . and it's from Muse!
After a long back and forth about whether Muse would appear on the album, sure enough they will, and their song is called "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)."

The first single on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" has just been confirmed and I get to bring you the exclusive details. Stephenie's very favorite band, Muse, has contributed a song called "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" and it's the first single from the project. It will be out on May 17th. Tickets for “Eclipse” Premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Pre-Sale

Today we got confirmation on the location of the “Eclipse” premiere in Los Angeles. According to Film Independent (and confirmed by Summit), the invitation-only world premiere will be held June 24 at the Nokia Theater, and part of the LA Film Festival.
Tickets for the “Eclipse” premiere will be included in some festival packages. They go on sale May 10, but you can buy them on pre-sale now.

Eclipse at the LAFF IS the official World Premiere. However, the ticket arrangements are handled separately from the other films put on by the festival. I cannot say exactly how it will be handled, but I can tell you what has been done in the past. Similar screenings were held with Transformers 2 and Journey to the Center of the Earth. While they were “part” of the festival, the tickets were handled by the studios. in this case, it would be Summit. Whether or not they decide to actually sell tickets to the public or give invites to fans is something that will be decided between LAFF and Summit. With both Trans and Journey there were red carpets. In fact, those premieres were held at the same locations as the Twilight and New Moon premieres and the same blocks were roped off. But that’s because LAFF was in Westwood before. Now it’s centered downtown. But there WILL be a red carpet.

Robert Pattinson: WATER FOR ELEPHANTS’ Oscar Pedigree

Robert Pattinson will be surrounded by Oscar winners and nominees both in front and behind the cameras in his upcoming project Water for Elephants, directed by Francis Lawrence (whose last feature was Will Smith’s I Am Legend) and based on Sara Gruen’s novel.
Pattinson’s co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz are both Oscar winners. Witherspoon won a Best Actress Oscar for James Mangold’s Walk the Line (2005), while Waltz was this year’s Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.
Hal Holbrook, who’ll be playing the aged version of Pattinson’s character — a young traveling-circus veterinary during the Depression years — received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Sean Penn’s Into the Wild two years ago.
Additionally, Water for Elephants screenwriter Richard LaGravenese was nominated for his work on Terry Gilliam’s The Fisher King (1991); production designer Jack Fisk (Sissy Spacek’s husband) and set decorator Jim Erickson shared a nomination for There Will Be Blood (2007); and costume designer Jacqueline West has been up for two Oscars: Quills (2000) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

so i went to harpo productions with my friend and sister to see rob, kristen, taylor, and dakota. when they were leaving rob was the first to leave. when his car came out of the garage as soon as everyone saw him all let loose. it was so crazy and fast so it was hard to concentrat which in turn let me only get one photo. it’s not even that great BUT it’s something.

from Twilight Junkies Anonymous: PART 1: I am still completely overwhelmed right now. And sleep deprived....I feel like I have a hangover! But I promised details, so here we go. Let me just say right now, that I am going to include spoilers for both Eclipse (but you guys all read the book, so really, you know what happens) and for the Oprah show.

I'll start with Eclipse last night.

Big thanks to Victoria for the pictures. Not being allowed to have any kind of electronic device is kind of a pain because if you have something on you, then you have to check it, and then pick it up after the movie or show. So thanks to Victoria for keeping her camera to take pics, even though she had to check it.

Kristen, Victoria, Kassie and me arrived at the theater pretty early. The theater didn't even know where we were supposed to line up or anything. So we went to eat in the theaters lounge, which was really nice!

Of course as soon as we ordered some food, we hear that people are starting to line up. We scarfed our food down, prayed that Rob wasn't lurking around somewhere to see us scarf, and then headed down to the line. We were like the 3rd group in line. Yay!!!!

Oh yeah!!!! We are totally in the right place. The marquee actually said Eclipse at first, but I think they changed it to T.S.3 because of crashers.

Finally we got to the Oprah table to get our wristbands and popcorn coupons.

Oh the fun you can have with coupons and wristbands! LOL!

We had to take all these pictures of our coupons because when you turn them in for the actual popcorn and drink, you don't get them back. :(

Once we got into the actual theater, we had decent seats and then spent the next hour waiting impatiently for Eclipse to begin and speculating whether or not Rob, Kristen and Taylor would show up for the screening. How could we have even dreamed that at that moment Rob was ringing doorbells in Naperville and other suburbs!!! (More on that later in my Oprah post!)

Okay, are you ready for Eclipse?????

I absolutely, positively loved Eclipse more than New Moon and even more than Twilight. It was that good! Yeah, there were a few moments where you could tell that they hadn't quite finished, but all in all amazing. At one point, 2 of the wolves were still in cartoon form....to be filled in later, but that was really the only obvious sign that it was a work in progress.

Rob was gorgeous in Eclipse. He is much happier, less angsty. There were a lot of really really close up shots of his face....*sigh*, but Kassie pointed out that you could kinda see the make-up more. He wardrobe was hotter and more casual....I really hated that suit in New Moon.

His eyes eyes look gold in this pic, but I am sure they were black with thirst in this part of the movie.

Kristen was really great. I thought she was less twitchy. The wig had it's good moments and bad moments. If she kinda had her hair swooped to the side off her forehead, it looked natural, but when it was parted down the middle, it looked very wiggy.

Taylor....is it possible that his abs got bigger, better and tighter? Holy hotness Batman!!! I'm not team Jacob, but man did Taylor look good. I think you guys will love his one liners, a little preview for Breaking Dawn. The tension between Jacob and Edward is really really there, and brings out some great lines from both Taylor and Rob!

The Cullens - Rosalie, Alice, and Esme looked much better, and very bad ass in the fight scene. Emmett looked hot as usual and he had some great one liners, but Carlisles hair was a bit of a hair helmet. I loved Jasper, despite his hideous hair, because that cute little Southern drawl made up for the bad hair and Jasper had a lot more to say in this movie!

Riley is totally hot, but Victoria is not. I miss Rachelle. Dallas Bryce-Howard doesn't quite pull of bad-ass as well as Rachelle.

Highlights from Eclipse

-First of all, Eclipse has way more LOL moments than either of the other 2 movies combined.

-Definitely some hot and heavy making out with Edward and Bella. Me likey!

ooooh, Bella throwing Edward to the ground! Nice!

-Edward totally goes off on Jacob after he kisses Bella and she breaks her hand. Like he is really pissed! Not the angry, but still very calm Edward in the book. Really pissed off, yelling at Jacob, Edward. I ♥♥♥♥ angry Rob! He's so freaking hot!

-The proposal included hot and heavy making out, the leg hitch (YEAH BABY!!!!!) and a very, very, (like brings tears to your eyes!) emotional Edward asking Bella to marry him. AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! It was really sweet. The best line here is after Edward thwarts Bella's advances, and she's like saying, you don't want me, and Edward is like, "Bella, believe me, I WANT TO" GAH! You just gotta love the way Rob delivers that line!!!!

-The tent scene is basically what it is in the book. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The only thing that is missing, which I would have loved to have in the movie, was Edward unzipping the sleeping bag and Jacob falling out on the cold floor of the tent.

-The fight scene is kick-ass! I know it wasn't totally done and fine-tuned yet, but you will love it. Everyone in the theater went "oooooh!" during the fight.

-Jasper telling Bella his backstory! You will love Jasper's accent, and he is cute as hell in the flashbacks. Then after he comes back to the present, he and Alice share a cute little lovey dovey kissy moment. :) Yay!

Okay, those are some of the highlights that are popping up in my weary, sleep-deprived brain. I think I'm probably telling you way too much, and this post is already too long. I've decided to make it a two-part post. Part 2 will be about the Oprah show.

PART 2:

Whew! That last post was....um....LONG! As I was typing away, I realized that I needed to divide this into 2 posts. So this post is going to be about our Adventures at the Oprah show.

The adventure started this morning when I had to set the alarm for 3:50 a.m. (shit, I better remember to fix that!!!!) to get get ready to go. Things were going along great, until I ripped the sleeve of my brand new Twilight shirt. Luckily I'm pretty handy with the needle and thread, but that just threw me into a tailspin, because now I'm running late.

We got down there a little after six and we got in line. Of course, there are no bathrooms in the line for Oprah....so now WTF are you supposed to do??? I had to walk over to Subway and buy a stupid bag of chips just to the bathroom. Seriously. Maybe Oprah has some deal with them, because everywhere I went had signs that said bathrooms for customers only. Subway was the one place I could use the bathroom and spend the least amount of money. Anyway, I made it back to the line, just in the nick of time before we went in. Whew!

In the waiting room, we waited, very impatiently, for and hour and a half. That was torture, I tell you! Torture. We were sitting across for one of the groups of lucky girls that Rob paid a visit to last night, and they showed us their picture with Rob. They told them that they were going to be Skyped into the show and that they were coming to their house to set up, and then they showed up with Rob! The killer part is my sister Barb got a call on Monday about the Skype thing and if they picked her, she would need to be available Tuesday night. So she was in the running!!!! So close!!!!!! I really think, judging by the girls that were picked, that they were really looking for the 14 year old group.

Anyway, when they called our numbers, we actually got pretty good seats! Not down in the very front, but in the stadium farthest on the right facing the stage. So we were like, 30 feet away from Rob maybe. When Rob, Kristen and Taylor came out, the audience lost it! Seriously! It was crazy. Rob was wearing a brown button down shirt, jeans and those famous shoes that he has that match Kristen's. Kristen was wearing capri length leggings, a olive green long top and gorgeous heels. Taylor was the most dressed up with a suit jacket and pants, dress shoes. Side note - Taylor's dad was in the audience. Trying to keep a low profile on the show, but they did get him to talk to us before the show, and he has the same voice as Taylor!

Here are some things to look forward to when you see the show:
- the video of Rob visiting those houses last night was freaking hilarious. The one house, they took forever to answer the door, and when the finally did, Rob was like, "I was about to break into your house". At the second house, Rob rang the doorbell, and a dog started barking. So Rob is like, "oooh, they have a dog" and then he kinda woofed at the dog. SOOOO CUTE!!!! The best part was watching Rob watch the videos because he is like cracking up at himself, but you can tell he's kinda embarrassed too.
- they also did one in LA where Taylor surprised a sorority of girls and they all are getting to go the Eclipse premiere!
- Oprah asked THE question about what is going on between Rob and Kristen. You knew she would. They just keep coming up with newer and better ways to completely avoid answering that question. Today Rob's response was, "Kristen is pregnant!" LOL Then Kristen said, "But he's carrying it" She said something like do you really think these hips could handle giving birth or something like that....I can't remember exactly what she said, but something goofy like that, and then of course that was it. They never answered the question.
- Rob mentioned that he was getting ready to film Water for Elephants, and me and like one other person were like "woohoo!". Me and that other person must have been the only 2 that have read it I guess. LOL
- One girls stood up and talked about how much she admired Kristen, and while she was talking, we are right behind her!!!! I don't know how well you will be able to see us, but look for the pink shirt (me) and the green shirt (Victoria). Then Kristen called her up on the stage and gave her the ring she wore, I think she said in Twilight.

THE BEST MOMENT! Kassie and I had been kind of daring each other to yell Rob when it was quiet during the breaks. Then finally, at the last break, Kassie, being the brave woman that she is, yelled "Rob!" and he looked at us, so we started waving like idiots, and he smiled and waved back!!!!! We just about died right there and then. The a few minutes later, when they were leaving, the went past us and Victoria called Taylor and he looked and smiled.

Upon leaving, Oprah told us that we would be getting Bella's ring! So we all got a certificate to send in for Bella's Engagement Ring! Then there were some ladies outside passing out Eclipse posters and Burger king crowns! Sweet!

Kassie, Kristen and Victoria....If you guys remember more details, add them in the comments, because I know I'm forgetting stuff in my tired haze.

Rob Visits a Twilight Fan's House for the Oprah Show

Maria(the lucky fan) says: Well....it all started with an email to the Oprah show. I just told her that the entire family were huge fans and if you came over and you were NOT a twilight fan then "YOUR NOT COMING". Where? We didn’t know. We just said your not coming to anything with us unless you were a fan. They apparently loved that line. So Sunday night they called and said that the show was totally booked but there might be a slight chance that we can pre tape something with skype. Now...she said a very slim chance. They were calling thousands of people. She asked me to send pics of my family. So in order to get their attention I thought I would be a great idea to take pictures as the “Cullen Family”. I waited all day on Monday to hear from them to see if we would be doing the skype thingy. Just when I started to give up it was around 10:30pm and they called. THE TWILIGHT PICTURES DID THE TRICK. They were so amazed on how my son Giuseppe looked so much like Edward. They told me to expect a skype kit to pre-tape a very short segment around 8pm on Tuesday night. They told me a hundred times “Sorry the show is full & we couldn’t give you tickets. So on Tuesday the skype kit came and I waited all day again for directions on how it was going to work. They called at 5pm and said we were going to do a practice run with skype and we would be live with oprah on the show in the morning. They told us do not dress up wear comfortable cloth because you will be moving furniture and it was just a test run. She actually told us to wear our pjs. At 8pm they called us on the skype cam to set everything up. We wasted about on hour just setting up the room. They kept telling me make sure all the blinds are close the camera is sensitive to light. (which now I know it’s because they didn’t want us to see him pull up.) They were asking random questions really just filling in time until I saw a camera crew through the small window on my front door and the people on skype heard me and said “go open the door” Well….that was it we all lost it. Screaming like a bunch of maniacs. Rosanna was crying, Giuseppe was frozen and everyone else was jumping a screaming. He stayed for about 10 minutes. Even though it felt like a week. And we just were all amazed that he was in our house. I told him me and Rosanna stalked him in NYC for the Remember Me premiere and he said “yeah I think I remember you” which was an obvious joke. I asked him is Kristen was here too and he said “well fine…I’ll just leave then”. Other things were said but I was in so much shock I cant remember. It is so weired. His lips were moving and I know he was talking but all I heard was wah wah wah. (kind of like snoopy and Charlie Brown). Then he told us we had tickets to the show. Again lots of screaming. He was great. So nice. Funny. And sooo tall. You was beautiful. I still cant believe it. So we went to the show and they had our names on our seats so we felt to privileged. Robert, Taylor, Kristen, & Dakota all sat and talked to oprah and then they showed the footage of him knocking on doors. He went to 3 homes in Naperville. We were the last ones. When he was leaving my house he said to the camera “I really want to stay and hang out at this house.” It was amazing. We all got a certificate to order Bella’s engagement ring from eclispe. The audience got to see the movie while he made his visit to our house. It is something we will never forget. Oprah & Robert was great but hearing my kids say “thanks for making this happen”……absolutely priceless!!!

'Eclipse' Stars On 'Oprah': More Details

A couple weeks back, Oprah announced on her website that she was looking for the "ultimate 'Twilight' fans" to be a part of her top-secret May 13 show (airing on that day specifically because it's RPattz's birthday!), which would cover the release of the newest film, "Eclipse." We already found out that the lucky few who were selected got a chance to be a very early look at the entire film, and today got the attend the show's taping with special guests Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.
Now, since we're Hollywood Crush and obviously didn't want to miss a beat, we knew we would be remiss if we didn't do our best to track down some of the lucky attendees and get some inside info on the show a week before it airs.

It's already been announced all over Twitter that Oprah asked Rob and Kristen the Big Question: whether or not they are an item. Niekema Hudson, who Tweeted the majority of the events last night and today, told us in a phone interview that despite Oprah's yes-or-no question, Rob and Kristen still managed to avoid answering it.
"[Oprah] asked the question directly, like, 'So, everybody wants to know!' but they really did avoid the question," 31-year-old Niekema said. "They both kind of looked like, 'Uhh, are we supposed to answer this?' and then Rob joked that Kristen was pregnant, and she joked that, 'If I'm pregnant, then Rob's going to have the baby.'"
Niekema had seen that Oprah had been looking for hard core "Twilight" fans on the "Twilight" Facebook page, and sent in an essay detailing the extent of her love of the series. She found out last Monday that she had been selected as an audience member, and brought her cousin, who originally got her into the series, as her plus one.
"I was so excited about being able to go to the show, I completely read over the fact that we would be seeing the movie the night before," she said with a laugh.
Attendees were encouraged to wear "Twilight" shirts and dark clothes, and bring along Team Edward and Team Jacob signs. Niekema estimated that about 150 fans attended the screening and taping. She said they ranged in age from 14 to 40, and were mostly all women with the exception of one unhappy husband. Nicole Salera, 19, sent in an essay that included photos showing how "Twilight" is in her life, and brought her friend along once she found out she had been accepted as an audience member. Seeing all the "Twilight" stars — and the movie — brought her to tears, she said.
"I felt Kristen's personality shine throughout the interview. She explained how she is shy and just as nervous as we are, which is cool of her to say," Nicole said in an e-mail interview. "Taylor Lautner, my husband who doesn't know it yet, looked hotter than ever and I couldn't stop staring at him. He explained how he likes dorky girls, yes! We will be perfect together. He also loves beef patties."
Conversation ranged from upcoming projects to the stars not having any friends to hang out with on Saturday nights to Kristen's cat — though, surprisingly given today's news, "Breaking Dawn" wasn't brought up even once — but the crème de la crème for both Nicole and Niekema was the chance to see RPattz in person.
"Robert, oh Robert. His accent is to die for, listen to him say 'nachos.' It's the greatest," Nicole said.
Niekema was lucky enough to be standing near the aisle where the stars walked out, and said, "That gave us the opportunity to basically reach out and see if they would shake our hands and Rob and Taylor did, so that made the experience even that much more amazing because I am such an Edward Cullen fan." Does it matter that Rob isn't actually Edward Cullen, but only the guy who plays him? Absolutely not, she said.
That was as close as any of the fans got to the stars. With news coming fast and furious today, there wasn't much time to absorb information we were posting in the moment. So it wasn't until a few hours ago that I got a chance to read through the posts, and came across this tidbit in the Oprah show taping report sent in by a fan:

"There was a series of clips from both New Moon and Eclipse"

Wait...What? Eclipse clips!? so I asked Vivian (fan), whether the clips were stuff that we'd seen before.
Her answer:

A Summit Entertainment spokesperson has confirmed to HitFix that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will open nationwide on Nov. 18, 2011. It's still officially unknown if "Dawn" will be broken up into one or, as rumored, two films. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all expected to return.

Directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's popular series chronicles Bella's most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels. Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for "Dawn."

"Breaking Dawn" will face off against "Happy Feet 2" and the Hugh Jackman Sci-Fi thriller "Real Steel." Even with the lucrative Thanksgiving weekend the following week, expect at least one of these films to move their release date to avoid going head-to-head with the "Twilight" franchise.

The third movie in the series, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," will debut in theaters on June 30 nationwide and in IMAX.

Just saw Eclipse!! Almost didn't get in and I was about to cry. But then Julie saved us. :) AMAZING movie. That's ALL I'm saying.

After publishing the below post, we learned directly from Summit Entertainment that the L.A. Film Festival date is, in fact, also the red carpet premiere of "Eclipse." The usual setting of the big event — Mann Village theater — will instead be replaced by the Nokia Theater.

Today Film Independent announced that "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" would be premiering as a special screening on June 24th during the Los Angeles Film Festival at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live.

For those of you swooning over the fact "Eclipse" will be premiering at a film festival where anyone can get a ticket, grab your smelling salts and maybe an alcoholic beverage (if you're old enough!) because this screening is by invitation only. However, you can get tickets to the festival and hope against all hopes that you get a sighting of KStew or RPattz or TLaut while you're there (though, if they are, security is sure to be tight). Festival passes go on sale May 10 on the LA Film Festival website, and tickets for individual screenings go on sale June 1. According to the LA Times, "Only those festivalgoers who purchase one of the festival's top-level passes — which range in cost from $500 to $1,000 — will get inside the Nokia Theatre on June 24."

And to all you out there who aren't lucky enough to live in the LA area and be a stone throw away from plenty of premieres, you better start thinking about buying your own midnight release tickets. Even though the film doesn't come out for almost two months, MovieFone has listings of 20 theaters nationwide who already have "Eclipse" tickets up for grabs, and Kim Palacios over at Hollywood News recommends checking with your local theater to do if they are doing anything special for the midnight release that requires in-person ticket purchases. Our recommendation: don't leave this one until the last minute.

Now the refined British director has once again been recognized for his talent with a biopic which takes him from Wales in the 1910s (the setting for Solomon and Gaenor) to the Spain of the 1920s, for a tragic love story. Revelations of a shy heartthrob: "Twilight"-Star Robert Pattinson about fame and hype and his new movie "Remember Me"

FOCUS: You didn´t want to watch your movie "Twilight" ever, does this still apply?
Robert: No, my parents made me watch it over Christmas. We´ve been watching several of my movies. I was able to avoid it successfully until then.

F: But why?
R: Because I can´t change anything once the movie is done. I can´t improve my performance and I can´t undo anything. So there´s no use, quite the contrary. You´re in danger to criticize yourself way too much. Or you find something about your performance that you really like and so you automatically try to copy it for your next movie. That´s really counterproductive. I rather watch the different takes on a monitor while shooting, I think that´s much more interesting.

F: You said once that you feel like a cheater when you appear on the screen...
R: Well, it´s not that bad anymore...

F: But there are thousands of girls lying at your feet. Doesn´t that convince you?
R: I have never been confident. That´s probably my worst characteristic. But maybe also my best. Somehow I don´t believe it when somebody says something good about me. The voice in my head is always much louder. That can be pretty awful.

F: At the beginning of the hype about "Twilight", it seemed that you weren´t really comfortable in your own famous skin...
R: It all happened so fast. 2008 was absolutely crazy. At the beginning of the year, a lot of things went wrong. I had a tax payment in the mail and I really wanted to give up acting altogether. Then "Twilight" came up and I thought: "Okay, I´m just gonna do this small movie." And then everything changed, at once. I can remember the day exactly. Three months before the premiere, some magazine had my photo on the cover and I was suddenly famous. In the morning I could still walk down the street without anybody having a second glance. In the afternoon everybody was staring at me. The speed of all this happening was unbelievable. Nevertheless, I would give this year ten points out of ten. It was like riding on a train that would bring me to a new fantastic destination...

F: ...that turned out to be not that fantastic in reality?
R: The last year was much more difficult. I still have to learn to accept the negative sides and to get accustomed to new realities, like the paparazzi and so on. I wish it would be like at the beginning, where I could really enjoy all the hype.

F: In "Remember Me" you play a young man who has to grow up pretty fast. So is there any similarity to your own life?
R: Honestly, I think it was just the opposite. I feel even younger than two years ago. It´s like a regress. Which was perhaps down to the fact that I´ve done the same things and have said the same things in interviews at that time. That inhibited my personal development. During the filming of "New Moon" we were literally locked up in our hotel for three months. Those experiences have an impact on your personality.

F: For example?
R: We are just shooting "Bel Ami", with Declan Donnellan as the director. Usually he´s doing stage productions and so he´s expecting that I know my whole text by heart, just like a stage actor. Not a chance. I notice how slow and rusty my memory has become. For "Twilight" there are always people who take care of everything and can prompt you. I do read a lot on the set, but as soon as I close the book, I can´t even remember the last sentence.

F: Is that a reason for filming a lot of other movies in between the "Twilight"-trilogy? To prove something to yourself?
R: Hmm, yes, maybe. To me it was just the complete opposite than for most other actors. They have supporting roles for 20 years until they are offered a leading role. They earned it, and so the audience accepts it easily. I would love to play a supporting role, maybe a concierge with no text. But nobody lets me do it!

F: So do you rely on smaller projects like "Remember Me" because of that?
R: Definitely. And also because the whole development process is completely different. I have been involved with "Remember Me" from the beginning, like when the tone and the atmosphere of the movie have been set. There was only a small team of decision makers and I was allowed to help developing my role and my character. That was really awesome.

F: So this is different with "Twilight"?
R: Sure, on a big project like this you appear at the set, recite your text and that´s it. Very often I´m reading scripts and I know exactly - okay, here we have the cliché of a nerd. Or the one of a young rebel. Tyler, my character in "Remember Me" is like me, more real than one of those stereotypes. It´s like an empty canvas that needs to be painted.

F: So you feel like a blank canvas?
R: Yes - I really just said that, right? Behind this facade is nothing, absolutely nothing.

F: Many actors say that they are giving away so much of themselves on stage that they have no idea who they really are when they are at home.
R: Seriously, I can really relate to that feeling. I was really afraid of all the interviews today. During filming I knew exactly how I wanted to show Tyler as a character full of contradictions and with a lot of inner conflicts. But now I can barely remember what I actually felt. But I can assure you, the feeling was really strong!

F: How does your family deal with all that fame?
R: All of us have to get accustomed to this. Especially my sisters support me a lot. Since I´m back in London they want to go shopping for me all the time. When I caught a cold recently they took care of me around the clock and brought me soup. They think I can´t even walk out of the door without being attacked by paparazzi.

F: Isn´t that true?
R: Well, yes. The shooting for "Remember Me" was pretty hard. We were shooting in the middle of New York and they didn´t just close the streets. There were at least 40 photographers at the set, every day. All the outside scenes had to be dubbed because you could hear the cameras clicking all the time. It was a total chaos. One of the paparazzi even hit the directors assistant in the face.

F: No wonder you´re really looking angry in some of the pictures...
R: In the movie there´s a real serious scene where I´m sitting on the stairs talking to my co-star Emilie de Ravin. While I was trying to appear sad, 30 guys were yelling at me: "Hey Rob, Rob, look up! Turn around, Rob!" The director realized I was getting more and more angry with each messed up scene. So his advice was to imagine to hit one of the photographers in the face - and to just miss him. That helped. Suddenly I was really sad!

From laineygossip.com: As I have said many, many, many times before, familiar to those of you who’ve been hitting this site for a while (thank you!), Gossip is a Buffet. You can choose to believe that Jennifer Aniston really is the girl next door...who lives in Malibu. Or you can choose to believe that her entire life is engineered and manufactured right down to her highlights. Especially her highlights. Some can only see the spin side. Some live to break the spin side. So you choose your own entree. And if you’re a Twi-Hard, I promise, the entree below will not be on your menu. You may as well stop reading now. Unless of course you’re the rare Twilight fan capable of deductive reasoning.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were back in Vancouver last week to work on Eclipse reshoots. Or “pick-ups”. They called it “pick-ups”. Because pick-ups are for small tech fixes and have nothing to do with actual content or new scenes. Which is why Stephenie Meyer, the author, was in town too. In a few short months, Meyer has suddenly become a movie lighting expert...what? No, no, she just thought it’d be a good idea to hop on a plane, fly a few hours and spend some time in Canada hanging out with the crew for sh-ts and giggles. Of course there was no scene doctoring required. None at all. Sh-ts and giggles only.

And of course there was very little reshooting to be done. So little that the crew wasn’t actually required to be on set for 16, 15, and 16 hour days for 3 straight days. They only stayed on set for fun. Away from their families, away from leisure time, all in service of fun. If anyone stayed on set for 16, 15, and 16 hours it was only because there was so much fun happening. No work, just fun. On a film set. Oh and there was totally no overtime penalty on the final day either. Overtime? For what? People were just sitting around like not working.

What could there possibly be to work on?

Something in the meadow? What? F-ck no. They only stored their gear in the meadow on Wednesday – photos attached – and storing gear in the meadow doesn’t mean shooting in the meadow. It’s just that some people have a lot of extra money lying around and wanted to rent some trucks and secure a permit for the meadow and store their sh-t in the meadow but not actually do any work in the meadow. For sh-ts and giggles.

Besides, how could they shoot in the meadow? Robert Pattinson hadn’t arrived yet. Pattinson arrived late afternoon on Wednesday. Were they expecting him the day before? Of course not. They were totally not expecting him on Tuesday. And when he didn’t show on Tuesday, they were totally not hoping he’d come in early on Wednesday either. His bodyguard was totally not spotted at the airport gas station on Wednesday hoping Pattinson would be on the early flight in from London (Wednesday noon arrival) so that they could take him directly to the meadow set. Nah. Like I said, they just booked the meadow for sh-ts and giggles and equipment storage. That’s all.

But... just for sh-ts and giggles, what if he was supposed to come in on Tuesday? And didn’t. And came in too late on Wednesday instead? Would he have missed the opportunity to shoot in the meadow? The permit for the meadow was for one day only. And they were unable to secure a permit for any other day. Which would require some improvisation. Shooting some other footage in the meadow instead. And a scene at the dock between Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. These photos of the dock were taken around 3pm over a period of 45 minutes in the afternoon Wednesday during a break from shooting. At this point they’d already been working for almost 9 hours. In some of these images, Stewart is getting her makeup done, and the director David Slade is setting up the shot.

But that’s only for sh-ts and giggles. The safe, likely studio approved interpretation of these events, which OF COURSE is the ONLY believable interpretation, is that Pattinson arrived when he was supposed to, and was not expected in the meadow ever, and that the meadow was only used as a storage facility/parking lot, because that’s what, in Twilight land, meadows are for, period the end, no drama, proceed.

As for how everyone was getting on... well everyone got on great. Of course David Slade wasn’t upset with Pattinson for arriving late. Pattinson arrived when he was supposed to. They totally weren’t trying to book the meadow again on Friday but were declined because of another production (Stargate) had it booked already. And there was no closed door meeting between Pattinson, Slade, and Twilight producers on Thursday. Nope. Never happened. And since it never happened, Pattinson never stormed off either. In fact, Pattinson arrived on Wednesday late afternoon but didn’t end up shooting a second until Friday because he also wanted to come in early and sh-t and giggle with Stephenie Meyer and the crew. Pattinson has a wonderful relationship with David Slade. They were like tight ass besties during principal photography last year. Slade thinks Pattinson has the skill of Marlon Brando. And Pattinson knows that Slade thinks he’s Marlon Brando. So there’d be no f-cking way these two would be throwing down.

It was 3 days of pure bliss in Vancouver. Hugs all around and everything went smoothly and they didn’t even have to try that hard because trying would imply that something needed fixing and nothing needing fixing because everything was so perfect and happy. So please, Twi-Hards, do not stress. There’s nothing to stress about. Will Eclipse be great? Does it matter? Twilight fans, in their support of the first two films, have already demonstrated that quality isn’t a basic minimum requirement for their enjoyment. You will love this movie.

''Remember Me'' Brings in 51.4 Million Dollars at The Box Office

Remember Me has brought in 51.4 million dollars so far at the box office according to Box Office Mojo. Remember Me has a domestic total of 19,019,000$ and a foreign total of 32, 379,153$ for a grand total of 51,398,153$. Looking at the information below you’ll see that the foreign number differs slightly as the totals have not all been added up. I added up the numbers from this page here to get the foreign number total. We are so happy that Remember has brought in this much so far, but we’re hoping that the DVD and Blu-Ray sales will bring the total to a much higher number.

If you’re still lucky enough to have Remember Me still playing in a theatre near you don’t hesitate to go see it again. As for me, I’ll have to patiently wait for my DVD to watch it again. It’s such a great heartfelt movie.

This movie is truly important as it’s Rob’s first movie outside of the Twilight Saga, since the Saga was released. It proves to the rest of the world what us fans knew all along, that Rob is a great actor and can play a vast range of emotions. As someone who has had to live with the death of a loved one by suicide I can assure you that Rob truly portrayed what it’s like to lose someone in such a fashion.

Back in February, we told you about that "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson would receive his own comic book biography, following on the heels of such notable pop-culture celebrities as Lady GaGa, "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, Michael Jackson, and even his "Twilight" co-star, Kristen Stewart.

Hitting shelves at the end of May, "Fame: Robert Pattinson" is the latest in Bluewater Productions' popular line of bio-comics. The 32-page comic promises to "trace Pattinson's career from his first performance in Tess of the D'Urbervilles at London's Barnes Theatre to his star turn in the Twilight movies," and features a script by Kim Sherman and interior art by Nathaniel Ooten.

Remember Me Crosses the $19M Mark (Domestic) and $50M (Worldwide)

After eight weekend, Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me has finally crossed the $19m mark. After losing 86 theaters, the Allen Coulter-directed romantic/psychological drama grossed an estimated $46K at the North American box office, according to figures released by Box Office Mojo. To date, Remember Me has taken in a total of $19.019 million.

Considering that it lost about half its theaters (it’s only playing at 118 venues now), Remember Me’s 44% drop-off rate wasn’t bad.

Worldwide, the $16m drama has grossed more than $50m.

It’s the only explanation for her exclusive statement to Access Hollywood, in which she refused to “flirt back” in response to Robert Pattinson’s remark on “The View” that he thought she was “sexy” (view the video below). “Now that is a comedy line!” the 88-year-old actress replied, once she heard wind of what Pattinson had said on a March 2nd episode of The View. Yet, Rob’s original delivery of the comments was made with absolute reverence.
When co-host of The View, Sherri Shepherd, recited the text of an e-mail sent from a reader asking Rob whether he would date an older woman, Rob immediately responded “Yeah…I think Betty White is one of the sexiest women in America”. The other co-hosts laughed and ribbed him for his response: “That’s very sweet,” said Joy Behar, “even though it’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard.” She went on to try to clarify the question for Pattinson by saying, “We’re talking ten years, here—we’re talking ‘Cougar Town, like Demi and Ashton’”. Rob continued to defend his original position, saying “[Betty White] is vibrant, and she’s sexy. I think, the more age, the better, in fact,” at which point The View co-hosts thanked Rob and “Remember Me” co-star Emilie de Ravin for being on the show.
The interaction was all in good fun, but the “would you date an older woman?” question is one many fans would be interested in hearing, particularly since Rob’s original answer to the question seemed outlandish. With his upcoming birthday on May 13th, Rob will turn 24, an age sandwiched precariously between those of his two largest fan bases. Between teenagers for whom the books were written and women old enough to be their moms, in some cases, lusting after Rob is a family affair.

The Eclipse vampire will join Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in an episode airing Wednesday, May 19, Gossip Cop can confirm. It will be taped the previous day.
It isn’t the first “Ellen” engagement for Pattinson. The star appeared on the program back in November while promoting New Moon. That was the interview in which he described a woman in a public crowd getting naked to get his attention.
Gossip Cop will have more scoops as the June 30 Eclipse release nears.

Tyler’s character reminds us of James Dean, where you inspired by him?
Not necessarily. I think it’s a side that every person has. It’s true that this character has something very ‘Rebel without a cause’ about him, but there were other sides of Tyler that interested me, like his arrogant side. He tragically lost a family member and I think that his reverly and anger towards them it’s because he stopped being the center of attention. I tried to make these things very present when playing the character. There’s a big reason why the James Dean stereotype is still so present to this day, especially among young actors.

What was it like working with Pierce Brosnan? Obviously you guys had to work with certain tension between you. Did it interfere with your relatiship with him?
Not at all. There was no real tension. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I had no idea what to think of him in the beginning, but he’s very hardworking, and not pretencious at all. We didn’t have a lot off scenes together but he was very kind to me. It was wonderful.

The main characters in the movie seem to appreciate life very much, do you think there’s a lesson for the audience?
One of the things that I liked about the story is that neither of the main characters had the idea that love is supposed to last forever. Thy are both just enjoying the happy moments they are living, and they are very valuable to them, even if they’re very short moments.

And what makes you happy?
The little things that are not very common. What I tried to communicate in the movie is that there’s little things that in life that sneek up on you, and surprise you.

Are you trying to mark a difference between your character in Twilight and the characters that you’re doing now, so that people know you’re more than Edward Cullen?
No, I’m not focused in that. I’m still choosing my roles the same way I always did. At least I still think I do. There’s very few things that interest me, so it’s easy for me to choose what I’m going to do next. All the projects that I’ve chosen have been very different from each other. I’m going to play soon a guy that was raised by aboriginals, and all my dialogue is in comanche. Right now I’m doing Bel Ami, which is very ironic because all these women fall for this guy but he just wants to steal their money. I thought it was a fun contrast from Edward Cullen.

Because he’s such a romantic?
Yes, and he’s the total opposite of that. But it wasn’t intentional. I thought it was a very fun movie, and my role is very interesting. I had never done such a simple role, and by simpleI don’t mean shallow, I mean normal. He’s a relief in many ways.

Can you still have a normal life?
Only in London, where I go to low-key places. There’s so many places there that I can go to and nobody knows who I am. I’ve gone to a pub where the bartender tells me everytime she sees me how much I look like the guy in the Twilight movies. It’s funny because she tells me the same thing every single time. Fortunately, people aren’t thinking in movies all the time so if they see me in the streets they’er embarrassed to say anything. Fame has its good side. I’m not struggling to get work now, and I can go from one movie to the next. To be honest I have the best position that any actor my age would want.

The 49-year-old star admits he has a "long list" of famous men he would consider changing his sexual preference for, with director Woody Allen and the stars of the vampire movie franchise, including Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner among those he admires.

David - who has two children with wife Tea Leoni - said: "If I were gay, you know. I think Woody Allen is one of a long list of men I might go gay for.

13 Reasons why smart girls love Robert Pattinson !

It's no mystery that, like many girls, smart girls love actor/musician, Robert Pattinson, but you may not know why.
You're seeing his photo splashed on the covers of magazines at the check-out counter. You may have even seen him get zapped by an evil wizard and die in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire or reluctantly fall in love after 100+ years of searching for the right one in Twilight.
You may get the general vibe that there's something about this guy that sets girls' hearts racing (and some of their embarrassed moms and other interested women, too; truth be told), but you may be dumbfounded why even the smartest girls you know--those who might rather die than be called a 'fangirl'--also seem to love this British actor so very, very much.
There are a few reasons why.
Well, maybe a baker's dozen or so.
We'll keep it to 13.
Before we begin, it is important to note one thing about smart girls and Robert Pattinson. They know the difference between Robert Pattinson, the actor, and Edward Cullen, his character in Twilight.
Ok, with that caveat out of the way, let's begin:
1.) The first reason why is obvious. Smart girls aren't dumb when it comes to embracing tall, good looks; they just want to be sure there is something more behind what they see. In Pattinson's case, there is.
2.) Smart girls love talent. If a man can make them forget their troubles for awhile, or even better, enlighten them or carry them to a new place through a story or a song (both of which Mr. Pattinson can do), then he has their attention, admiration, and in some cases, a growing devotion. More than one talent? Double points. Robert Pattinson has double points. He is an actor, but he is also a talented musician and singer/songwriter.
3.) Humility scores big. It doesn't take an above-average intelligence to feel all warm and fuzzy when someone who is clearly more talented or better looking than the average person does not seem to know it (or show it, if he does)--and above all, does not take it for granted that you think he is above average in anything. Bravado doesn't cut it with the typical smart girl. She gets bored with it quicker than it takes the guy who is full of it to even realize he needs to get over himself. Pattinson is also not particularly sporty and gets teased by his co-stars when he gets hurt easily doing stunts. Many smart girls (at least, those who are not also student athletes) can relate to that.
4.)  Robert Pattinson reads. Newsflash! Well, it's true. Smart girls read, and smart guys do, too. Readers share a special bond that is stronger than a lot of other things guys could do to try to attract girls. If some guys only knew. A lot of guys--a lot--do not read much. (A lot of girls don't either, for that matter, but we're talking especially right now about those who do). In interviews, Pattinson has talked about books he's read and has observed that several of the films he's appeared in so far happen to come from books.
5.) He has a great sense of humor.  Pattinson makes people laugh. Watch a YouTube interview of Robert Pattinson--almost any one of them. The guy has a sense of humor that just won't quit, and best of all, it's self-deprecating. He's the kind of guy smart girls want to take home to their parents because they have absolutely no doubt in their minds that they will like him.  Charm and a sense of humor go hand-in-hand.
6.) He knows how to be a gentleman and when. Somehow, to Americans, it goes with the charming British accent thing, but, more importantly, it shows a good upbringing. Robert Pattinson appears to have good instincts for when to be silly and when to be respectful. The maturity to know the difference is unusual for someone his age, and smart girls, who also tend to be rather mature for their ages, appreciate that.  The British accent thing? Well, let's just say that smart girls know that one British accent does not a gentleman make, but perhaps the nerdiest among them may also take a special pleasure in the fact that Robert speaks perfect Queen's English and not in a more folksy, Cockney dialect (Americans are not generally aware of the social class bias that can sometimes get tied up with this distinction in England).
7.) He listens, and he's articulate. Watch him in a YouTube interview again. Do you see him listening to the questions carefully? Do you see him thinking about an answer rather than always blurting out the first thing that comes to mind? Do you see him try to give a fresh answer to the same question he's been asked 1.2 million times already? Smart girls see these traits and appreciate the actor's efforts to communicate thoughtfully, sincerely, and well. In the listening department as well, it doesn't hurt that he knows music so well that he can recommend an eclectic list of good musicians and songwriters that smart girls might not have yet heard of and would like to know more about.
8.) He thinks. Wow--another newsflash (he walks; he talks--LOL!). This reason, though, is also evident in his interviews. Robert appears to want to give a thoughtful response to questions asked of him most of the time. His answers themselves sound like they are from a person who thinks about subjects beyond sports scores or fast food. It makes one want to read something that Robert may have written. It is said that he has kept journals and written screenplays. It shows. Catherine Hardwicke, Twilight director, says he has, or is, an "old soul." Smart girls get what that means.
9.) He's a kind and generous public person and friend. Anyone who allows fangirls to take pictures with him endlessly when he is out on his own time and not at a public function cannot be called anything but kind and generous. Pattinson's friendships--old and new--seem to indicate that he is a loyal and trusted friend. He is already using his newfound fame to help open up opportunities for his British friends' careers (musicians who co-wrote songs with him that ended up on the Twilight soundtrack, for example).
10.) He's not perfect. Pattinson's got a bit of an edge that keeps him from being totally perfect. He smokes (which might be one reason not to bring him home). He embraces what some say is a typical young Brit habit of going out to pubs almost nightly, and he doesn't seem to care who sees him there. He's himself, which smart girls love. He's not trying to be someone he's not to fit into someone else's image of who he should be. It's called being genuine, flaws and all. There's something a little dangerous, a little unpredictable about him, too. Catherine Hardwicke saw it and says it was another reason why she cast him as Edward Cullen.
11.) He's not afraid to show his vulnerability. Pattinson is said to be quite shy. Certainly, his soft spokenness and nervous ticks in interviews (combing his fingers through his hair, among them) seems to validate this. How 'manly' is it, then, when someone that shy is also that comfortable with himself that he can admit he has areas in his life that are in conflict with one another, like everyone else?  Mr. Pattinson's sensitivity will serve him well as an artist. His good-natured goofiness will serve him well in making friends. The combination of the two will likely appeal to people in power in the entertainment industry.
12.) He's creative, has ideas and ambition. Pattinson will continue to surprise audiences for at least the next few years with the film roles he decides to take on outside of the Twilight saga. Right now, much of his career is dependent on those choices, and he seems like the kind of actor who will be thoughtful in making those choices, if he chooses to stay with acting at all. Those who have worked with him say he is a hard worker.
13.) The whole Hollywood thing does not overly impress him. You get the feeling Robert Pattinson could leave all of this newfound fame and glitz behind him tonight if he found a different means of expression or a line of work that interested him more. Not being tied to chasing fame and fortune is an admirable quality that smart girls--and people of all kinds--find unusual and admirable.
True or not to how he is in real life, this is Robert Pattinson's public persona as it stands right now. Of course, it could change in an instant, and in this Internet age, the change would ripple around the world in a matter of minutes, and the tide could turn against him. When people talk about the pressure of fame, it might have something to do with maintaining a likable persona, even when you're tired of it--unless the persona is not a persona at all--it's the way you really are.
Smart girls know that, too, which is why they temper their love for this actor/musician with a curiosity about their own worlds and a zest for their own lives. They know it's fun to get a little short of breath, or a little weak in the knees when a new picture of Robert Pattinson shows up in front of their eyes yet again, but their feet still remain firmly planted on the ground.
Smart girls (and some of their blushing moms, as well as interested women of all ages) are keeping their eyes on their favorite actor, Robert Pattinson these days--not only for the enjoyment from what they see, but also to watch with interest for what the talented actor/musician chooses to do next.
What's that? Not feeling particularly smart, but still love Robert Pattinson? Join the club! What's that? You're a smart girl, you say, and you don't love Robert Pattinson? Well, you're entitled to your educated opinion, of course, but I know a few other smart girls who might ask you for 13 reasons why.

“Breaking Dawn” Casting Scam

Those of you who have been following this blog for a while know how we feel around here about casting scams, especially those that target kids.

Most recently, we took issue with the unscrupulous companies that advertise casting calls for Breaking Dawn (the final installment of the Twilight saga) on the Internet or via email.

After luring victims to create a web profile on a so-called “casting website,” they inform them that they can only find out about Breaking Dawn auditions if they upgrade to a paid subscription. Of course, the auditions are bogus, as no casting director has been hired yet to cast the film, and if she were, she wouldn’t advertise auditions on a paid website. Instead, she would find established, experienced actors through bona fide SAG-franchised talent agencies.

Apparently, the problem is widespread, as our blog post got picked up by websites such as Access Hollywood and MSNBC.
THE LATEST TWILIGHT SCAM
Well, a new Breaking Dawn casting scam was recently brought to our attention and we wanted to warn others, so they will recognize the difference between a real casting call and an attempt to fleece fans of their cash.

I received the following message from a Twilight fan:
Sorry to bother you as I am sure that you are busy. We had an ad on the a radio here in Calgary saying that if you text this number at this certain time, you would get a call to audition for the next Breaking Dawn movie at [nameless acting & modeling school]. Today they called and booked an audition time for my daughter on Saturday. I was just wondering if you knew anything about this or if it is just a scam to have people join [nameless acting & modeling school]? They said there was a casting director coming.
Without even gathering any more information about this supposed casting call, I can tell you that this is nothing but a ploy to get people through the door. Once they have arrived, victims will have to sit through a sales pitch and be pressured to sign up for acting and modeling classes that are expensive and of dubious quality. Likely, victims will also be pressured to purchase spendy (and useless) photo portfolios or attend a costly “talent showcase” in LA or New York, where, they’re told, they just might be “discovered.”
RED FLAGS GALORE
Here are the red flags I spotted in this message:

Breaking Dawn is not casting yet.

The film doesn’t go into production until the fall. No casting director has even been hired.

Auditions for Breaking Dawn will not take place anywhere where classes are offered, nor will they take place in Calgary.

The film is likely shooting in Vancouver, BC. A real casting company, not an acting and modeling school located in a shopping mall, will be hired to cast the actors.

NOTE: Anytime a company that offers classes or photo portfolios also promotes itself as a talent agency or talent management company: Beware. Real industry professionals know that it is a conflict of interest to do both.

Auditions for any real roles in the film will not be advertised on the radio.

Actors will be hired through bona fide SAG-franchised talent agencies.

(The extras casting company MAY hold an open casting call, but this won’t happen until the film goes into production this fall and actually hires an extras company.

Moreover, it will only be advertised in the Vancouver area or wherever the film is shooting. They do not want to truck extras in from remote locations. There are plenty of people on hand who live nearby.)

The qualification to audition for a film this huge is not one’s ability to send a text message.

The casting directors want educated, established, experienced, professional actors. They don’t have time to waste on these kinds of games. Film is a high-pressure, fast-paced business and producers want only the crème de la crème.

If you want to break into acting, get into the best acting class you can find and train, train, train. Don’t look around for silly shortcuts. Acting is hard work and very competitive.

Who in the Forks is this casting director?

This acting/modeling school claims that a casting director will be there, but since it can’t possibly be the CD of Breaking Dawn, who is it?

And why are they claiming it’s an audition for Breaking Dawn? The film is not yet in production and no crew has been hired.

Period.
